Who collects your information
This website, poolremovalsouthernhighlands.com.au, is operated by Mark A Jeanes, ABN 11 229 027 126, as an independent referral service. Southern Highlands Pool Removals does not perform or contract for pool removal work.
Mark A Jeanes is the entity that collects and holds the personal information described below, and is responsible for handling it under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you submit the quote form, we collect:
- your name;
- your email address and/or phone number (either one is enough, both are optional individually);
- your suburb;
- the job description you write, including anything you choose to put in it.
Our server also records technical information sent by your browser with the submission: your IP address, your browser user-agent string, and the page you submitted from. These are used to detect automated and abusive submissions, and for no other purpose.
We do not collect payment details. There is no account to create and no password to store.
Why we collect it
To assess your enquiry and, if and when an independent contractor is confirmed for your area, to refer your enquiry to that contractor so they can contact you, inspect the site and quote.
Who we disclose it to
Your enquiry may be referred to one independent contractor serving your area. Where licensing is required for the work, that contractor’s identity and licence details will be provided to you before you accept a quotation or enter a contract. Any contract you enter is with the contractor, not with Southern Highlands Pool Removals or Mark A Jeanes.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not pass it to marketing lists, data brokers or a bidding pool of contractors.
We use service providers who necessarily handle the data in order to run the website and deliver email: Cloudflare (hosting, the database that stores enquiries, and bot protection) and an email delivery provider used to send enquiry notifications. These providers process the information on our instructions.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how pages are used, which sets cookies in your browser and shares usage data with Google. It records that a form was started and that a quote was submitted. It does not receive the contents of the form.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained in our database so we can answer questions about a referral and meet record- keeping obligations. (Retention period to be confirmed before publication.)
Access, correction and withdrawal
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your enquiry, by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable period.
Complaints
If you think your information has been mishandled, email [email protected] first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
